Robert Magyar to Lead Sandpiper Health

Asia Pacific – Sandpiper today announced the appointment of Robert Magyar to the newly created role of Managing Director, Sandpiper Health, as the multi-award-winning Asia Pacific leader in healthcare communications and public affairs plans its next phase of growth.
An existing member of the Sandpiper Health team, Robert has over 20 years’ experience in healthcare communications and public affairs across Asia Pacific. He will work closely with Sarada Chellam, Director, Sandpiper Health, and General Manager of Sandpiper Singapore, in leading its specialist team of 30 consultants across its six offices. Presently based in Beijing, Robert has also lived and worked in Southeast Asia, and Japan and is fluent in Japanese. He has led complex briefs and designed award-winning programmes for international and local pharmaceutical and healthcare businesses and brands.
Robert joined Sandpiper in 2021 following the company’s acquisition of North Head in China. North Head boasts the largest specialist healthcare communications and public affairs team in North Asia, making Sandpiper Health the largest and only specialist healthcare consultancy combining both communications and public affairs expertise in the region.
In this newly established role, Robert will oversee a rapidly expanding regional specialist team of healthcare communications and public affairs advisors based in Australia, China, Hong Kong SAR, New Zealand, and Singapore.

As well as leading Sandpiper Health, Robert will remain as Senior Executive Director in Sandpiper’s China business and will also continue to lead the company’s regional public affairs offering.
Sandpiper Health’s client list includes 15 of the world’s largest pharmaceutical companies as well as medical device manufacturers, health insurers, health services groups, telemedicine startups, animal health companies, and major industry associations.
