The Sandpiper Group (“Sandpiper”), the largest independent communications, public affairs, and research group headquartered in Asia Pacific, has appointed Hermen Chow as an Associate Director for its financial and professional services practices. She will be based in Hong Kong.
The appointment comes as Sandpiper continues the growth of its financial and professional services practices across Asia Pacific and the Middle East.
Hermen’s career began as a paralegal at Mayer Brown and Cafe de Coral Holdings Limited, where she gained a strong foundation in the legal and corporate environments. She transitioned into corporate communications and has worked with Brunswick, Weber Shandwick, and latterly SEC Newgate before joining Sandpiper. She specialises in reputation management and advisory for law firms, real estate, private equity, private banks, asset managers, and multinational conglomerates.
Hermen will work alongside Sandpiper’s leadership and senior team to continue to grow the firm’s financial and professional services practices in Hong Kong and across Asia Pacific. She joins Sandpiper as it continues its expansion across Asia Pacific and the Middle East and is named 2024 Global Corporate Agency of the Year by PRovoke Media. Regionally, Sandpiper has also been awarded Asia Pacific Agency of the Year by PRovoke Media, PRWeek, the Public Relations Communications Association (PRCA), and Public Affairs Asia, as well as ESG and Sustainability Specialist Agency of the Year and Corporate and Financial Agency of the Year.
