As China and the US maintain their positions as the world’s AI superpowers, global attention is turning to how the race for AI supremacy will affect the technology’s safety and regulation.  

Following President Xi’s visit to the US and summit with President Trump, a new China-US channel for handling AI incidents offers some reassurance; however, C-suite leaders are left to navigate an uncertain policy landscape. 

Against this backdrop, Sandpiper surveyed over 500 C-suite leaders across Asia Pacific and the US, gauging the mood on the AI race and AI regulation. Our key findings reveal the complex dynamics for AI policymakers to manage — both in APAC and globally.
