The successful candidate will be based in Singapore but will support the finance team across the Asia Pacific region.

What are we looking for?

We are looking for an energetic, and dedicated professional, who is excited by the idea of working for a small, agile and dynamic team. 

The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 2 years experience and be a self-starter who thrives in a highly empowered environment. 

Roles and Responsibilities 

You will play a critical role in Sandpiper’s regional People Success team, and the direct success of the business, with responsibilities including: 

Regional Finance Ops 

  • Prepare all client invoices and ensure issued to clients on a timely basis together with all necessary supporting documentation (e.g. client timesheets) 
  • Process supplier invoices, code and system entries for Singapore, Hong Kong, Australia and New Zealand using Xero and Zoho. 
  • Support both the Finance & HR Executive and the Regional Finance Manager with the preparation of weekly, monthly and annual financial schedules and reports 
  • Prepare and process employee expense claim submissions 
  • Invoice and expense tracking for client projects 
  • Review and follow up with the unbilled invoices and client outstanding payments 
  • Administrative filing of monthly client invoices in respective client folders 

Procurement 

  • Completing client’s supplier onboarding forms 
  • Support Business and Resource Analyst with monitoring of new client project forms as part of new project set-up 

Requirements 

  • Ideally 2-3 years experience in finance and accounting, human resource, administration and operations role, ideally in a consultancy environment 
  • Communications agency or professional services firm experience a plus 
  • Experience with accounting standards and regulatory requirements in Hong Kong, Australia and New Zealand is a plus 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills 
  • Responsive, strong organisation skills and capable of multi-tasking on multiple projects – managing priorities and meeting deadlines, while maintaining a high attention to detail 
  • Proficient with Microsoft 365 and Office tools, mainly Excel (Pivot Table), Power BI, PowerPoint and Word 
  • Technologically savvy and able to use cloud-based systems 
  • Experience with Zapier, Microsoft Power Automate or other similar automation tool is a plus 
  • Bachelor’s degree at a minimum 
  • A good team player and enthusiastic in supporting the regional team in Asia Pacific 
  • Able to thrive in a high-pressure environment 
  • Resourceful 
  • Required languages: English, Mandarin
