Functions：

  • Be responsible for the design of the financial accounting system of the PBOC and the construction of the China National Advanced Payment System (CNAPS)
  • Establishes payment and settlement rules as well as regulations on bills exchange and bank account management jointly with related government departments
  • Supervises innovation in payment instruments
  • Drafts administrative rules for bank card settlement businesses
  • Establishes reporting systems for large-value and suspicious RMB payment transactions
