- Engages in international cooperation on anti-money laundering
- Consolidates and analyzes information on suspicious payment transactions in RMB or foreign currencies
- Assists the judiciary departments in investigations into money-laundering related criminal cases
- Ensures security arrangements for the People’s Bank of China’s systems
- Organizes armed protection for the storage and transportation of gold, silver, bank notes and securities
