- Drafts housing security related policies and guides the implementation. Formulates plans and policies for low-rent housing, works with relevant departments to make arrangements for central government funding for low-rent housing, and supervises implementation of plans and policies
- Leads reform of the housing system and guides housing construction, formulates national housing construction plans and guides its execution. Studies and proposes policy recommendations on major issues in housing and urban-rural construction
