- Formulates strategies, plans, policies and relevant standards for the development of traditional Chinese medicine and ethnic minority medicine; drafts relevant laws, regulations and departmental rules; participates in the planning and implementation of major national projects on traditional Chinese medicine
- Be responsible for the supervision and management of TCM medical treatment, prevention, health care, rehabilitation and clinical medication. Plans, guides and coordinates the reform of the structure and operating mechanism of TCM medical and scientific research institutions.
