Functions：

  • Studies foreign intellectual property developments and formulates policies on intellectual property-related foreign policy
  • Coordinates management of foreign-related intellectual property rights
  • Manages external negotiations related to intellectual property rights, formulates external negotiation programs and drafts multilateral and bilateral intellectual property agreements
  • Organizes and coordinates with the World Intellectual Property Organization and other international (foreign) intellectual property organizations
  • Manages international cooperation and exchanges regarding intellectual property rights
  • Undertakes related intellectual property affairs involving Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan
  • Guides local IPR policy
  • Completes other tasks assigned by the Bureau
