Functions：

  • Monitors and analyzes both domestic and international markets, maintains economic balance and administers macro adjustment to important commodities
  • Formulates plans for the total volume of import and export of important agricultural products, industrial products, and raw materials and supervises the implementation of these plans and adjustments in accordance with national economic performance
  • Manages state reserves of important materials and commodities including grain, cotton, sugar, etc;
  • Puts forward strategies and plans for the development of modern logistics, and coordinates major issues of distribution system reform
