Functions：

  • Formulates the national education development plan
  • Reforms the management system for institutions of higher education
  • Manages higher education enrollment and establishes standards for institutions of higher learning in conjunction
  • Develops construction standards for schools at all levels
  • Examines and verifies the establishment, cancellation, renaming and adjustment of institutions of higher learning in conjunction with relevant parties
  • Records and analyzes data on the compulsory education system
  • Be responsible for capital construction management for institutions of higher learning and directly affiliated units
  • Be responsible for the overall planning, comprehensive coordination and macro management of private education
  • Be responsible for safety supervision for institutions of higher learning and the reform and management of socialization logistics
