Functions:
- Drafts regulations and detailed rules relating to supervision of listed companies; inspects implementation of such regulations and rules
- Conducts special research on important issues relating to policies impacting listed companies
- Trains directors and supervisors of listed companies
- Supervises local securities regulatory offices and bourses, instructs first-line supervisors of securities exchanges regarding information disclosure practices
- Examines, supervises, and inspects consolidation and division of domestically listed companies
- Supervises the acquisition, merger and asset restructuring of domestic listed companies
- Inspects and verifies the operations, information disclosure, fund utilization, financial and accounting reporting practices of listed companies
- Supervises compliance with securities laws and regulations by listed companies, their directors, supervisors, senior executives and major shareholders
- Handles emergencies occurring inside listed companies relating to the securities market
