Functions：

  • Supervises and manages pollution prevention and control of solid waste, chemicals and heavy metals nationwide
  • Formulates and organizes the implementation of relevant policies, plans, laws, administrative regulations, departmental rules, standards and specifications
  • Organizes and implements environmental management systems such as hazardous waste business licenses and export approvals, solid waste import licenses, import and export registration of toxic chemicals, and environmental management registration of new chemical substances
  • Be responsible for domestic implementation of relevant international conventions
