CASTED is devoted to meeting the demands of Science Technology and Innovation (STI) development and reform. Its purpose is to be the national STI strategic research base, supporting macro-level STI decision-making, management, and international communication. CASTED is working with research institutes in China and other parts of the world to promote cooperation on STI theory, the national innovation system, institutional reform, STI’s contribution to the economy, and monitoring of STI developments
