Functions：

  • Studies coordination of development of the banking, securities and insurance industries, and draws up reforms and plans for the financial industry
  • Assesses systemic risks in the financial sector, and proposes and implements measures to prevent and resolve them
  • Conducts re-examination on institutions that receive lender-of-last-resort support from the central bank, and participates in the liquidation or restructuring of relevant institutions
  • Monitors financial holding companies and cross-sector financial instruments
  • Examines and approves the restructuring plans for the institutions receiving lender-of-last-resort support from the central bank
  • Manages PBOC’s assets that relate to financial risk resolution and financial restructuring
