Functions：
- Acts as foreign relations organ and drafts and negotiates international judicial assistance treaties
- Responsible for concluding and implementing treaties on transferring criminals; Reviews China’s international treaties, which were submitted to the State Council
- Undertakes legal work in the diplomatic field
- Organizes and coordinates participation in United Nations activities in crime prevention and criminal justice, as well as multilateral or bilateral exchanges and cooperation in the field of justice
- Organizes translation and verification of official translations of administrative regulations; handles legal affairs related to Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwan
- Manages foreign affairs of the ministry
- Administrates overseas projects in the judicial system
