Sandpiper, one of the fastest growing reputation and policy management consultancies in the world, is seeking a talented and entrepreneurial individual to join our Transactions and Financial practices as a Director. The successful candidate will be based in Dubai but will work for our clients across the Middle East.

What are we looking for?

We are looking for energetic and creative professionals with experience advising on financial transactions, together with proven financial services expertise.

The ideal candidate should have a minimum of ten years’ experience and have worked in an international consultancy or multinational corporation.  You will be a self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced highly empowered environment.

You will work with our multinational team of senior advisers combining local knowledge with a global perspective. We believe a deep understanding of the sectors in which our clients operate is a prerequisite of strategic counsel and campaigns that make our clients stand out.

Requirements

  • Experience advising on complex financial transactions and a proven track record advising clients in the financial and professional services sectors
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills
  • Good interpersonal and presentation skills
  • Experience managing a team and capable of driving new business pitches
  • Capable of multi-tasking on multiple projects – managing priorities and meeting deadlines, while maintaining a high attention to detail
  • Collegiate, team player
  • Creative thinker
  • Entrepreneurial with strong business acumen
  • Bachelor’s degree at a minimum (a plus if it is in related fields such as communications, English, journalism, politics, economics, or business)
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills

Roles and Responsibilities

You will be responsible for leading Sandpiper’s Transactions and Financial Services client work in the UAE, and across the Asia Pacific region when required. Your role will also include

  • Ensuring a high level of client service and leading on client accounts.
  • Maintaining a good understanding of clients’ business objectives, and the issues in their sector.
  • Building strong and trusted relationships with clients and key business stakeholders.
  • Leading the development of communications and stakeholder engagement strategies.
  • Leading on issues and crisis management.
  • Leading new business pitches and marketing activities in partnership with other senior team members.
  • Keeping up to date with the latest social media trends.
