In 2021, local and provincial party organizations began electing delegates for the congress, as well as preparing party documents<\/li>\n<li>During the congress, the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC)\u00a0 issued a decision on the study, publicity and implementation of the guiding principles of the 20th CPC National Congress.The decision noted that the study, publicity and implementation of the guiding principles is the primary political task of the Party and the country for the present and for some time to come. It is pivotal to the further development of the cause of the Party and the country, to the future of socialism with Chinese characteristics, and to the realization of national rejuvenation.<\/li>\n<li>The 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China has deliberated and unanimously adopted the revised Constitution of the Communist Party of China proposed by the 19th Party Central Committee and has decided that it shall come into effect as of the date of adoption. President Xi emphasized that the central task of the CPC will be to lead the Chinese people of all ethnic groups in a concerted effort to realize the Second Centenary Goal of building China into a great modern socialist country in all respects and to advance the rejuvenation of the Chinese nation on all fronts through a Chinese path to modernization.<\/li>\n<li>In a report delivered on Oct 16 at the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China (CPC), Xi Jinping, general secretary of the CPC Central Committee, expounded on the tasks of the CPC in the new era.<\/li>\n<li>During the 20<sup>th<\/sup> National Congress, the membership list of the Central Commission for Discipline Inspection was endorsed and the Central Committee was elected.
