Unifies the thoughts and actions of prosecutions. Preserves in the Party\u2019s absolute leadership over prosecutorial work. Firmly upholds the central role of Xi Jinping in the central government and the whole party. Firmly upholds the authority and the centralized leadership of the CPC central Committee.<\/li><li>Proposes proposals to the National People\u2019s Congress and its Standing Committee, makes demands for legal interpretation to the Standing Committee, makes requests for review of whether administrative regulations, local ordinances, autonomy statues and specific regulations are in accordance with the constitution and the low to the Standing Committee.<\/li><li>Leads the work of local people\u2019s procuratorates at various levels and the special people\u2019s procuratorates. Guide the operations of people\u2019s procuratorates of lower levels. Study and formulate working policy and total planning for the prosecutorial work. Deploy prosecutorial work and tasks.<\/li><li>Exercise the right of surveillance on criminal cases directly dealt with by the Supreme People\u2019s Procuratorate as prescribed for law. Guide the detective work of those criminal cases by local people\u2019s procuratorates at various levels and the special people\u2019s procuratorates.<\/li><li>Review by law approvals or decisions on the arrest, and prosecution of national significant criminal cases. Guide local people\u2019s procuratorates at various levels and the special people\u2019s procuratorates\u2019 work of approving or deciding on the arrest and initiating public prosecution of criminal cases.<\/li><li>Be responsible for the criminal, civil administrative proceedings within the duty of the Supreme People\u2019s Procuratorate and the\u00a0 legal supervision work of the execution of valid legal documents.<\/li><li>Be responsible for the commonweal litigation within the duty of the Supreme People\u2019s Procuratorate. Guide the commonweal litigation work of local people\u2019s procuratorates at various levels and the special people\u2019s procuratorates.<\/li><li>Supervise the Supreme People\u2019s Court in the review of death penalty.<\/li><li>Review the application for prosecution of provincial people\u2019s procuratorate, and decide whether to approve the application or not.<\/li><li>Be responsible for the legal supervision of law enforcement at prisons and detention centers within its responsibilities. Guide local people\u2019s procuratorates at various levels and the special people\u2019s procuratorates to carry out the supervision work of these places.<\/li><li>Deal with complaints proposed to the Supreme People\u2019s Procuratorate. Guide prosecutorial work of local people\u2019s procuratorates at various levels and the special people\u2019s procuratorates to these complaints.<\/li><li>Review the decisions made by local people\u2019s procuratorates at various levels and the special people\u2019s procuratorates when execute procuratorial authority, and correct the wrong decisions.<\/li><li>Interpret issues concerning the specific application of laws in procuratorial work and issue guiding cases. <\/li><li>To guide the theoretical research work of procuratorial organs throughout the country.<\/li><li>be responsible for the formation of procuratorial organs and their ideological and political work. Lead the people&#8217;s procuratorates at all levels and the special people&#8217;s procuratorates to administer by law the work of public procurators and other procuration staff. Coordinate with the central ministries to administrate the department establishments and staffing of peoples\u2019 procuratorates. Formulate administration methods of relevante staff. Organize and guide the education and training work of procuratorial organs.<\/li><li>Coordinate with the competent department of the central government to administrate and examine the chief procurators the chief procurators of the people&#8217;s procuratorates and the special people&#8217;s procuratorates of provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities.
